Coming from the creative industry ourselves, we have felt and seen the struggle of loving our craft, but feeling totally lost when it comes to the business side. The behind-the-scenes can feel like one big question mark, where to start with branding, invoicing, client emails, content, or even whether you need a website or not. That’s exactly why we felt the need to create this space, a place for creatives to ask big questions, find clarity, and walk away with practical tools they can use right away.
After three years of serving clients by word of mouth, we’re finally opening our doors to the public, because we believe creatives deserve the support to thrive in both their art and their business. Good Story is a space where education meets a creative studio. We are here to fill the gap and make your business dream a reality for you!

Meet our co-founder
and owner
I started photography as a side hobby while studying Information Design at UP, and it quickly grew into something so much bigger.
In 2021, I joined the marketing agency world and eventually became a Creative Director, working on big campaigns and content for brands like Miss South Africa, Forever New, and Bellagio.
By 2023, my own photography business was thriving, and I realised how much I loved helping other creatives find clarity in their work and brand, so I co-founded Good Story & Co with Carla!
Today, I run my wedding photography business (Melmade) while guiding creatives to not only create beautiful work but also build strong, purposeful businesses behind it.
At the heart of it all, I believe every creative has a story worth telling, and I’m here to help bring it to life.

Meet our co-founder and owner
I’ve always loved design. Studying architecture for four years taught me it’s about more than bricks and mortar; it’s about shaping spaces that create comfort, connection, and a sense of belonging.
Growing up in a family of entrepreneurs, I’ve always been involved in our family business, which sparked my love for building something of my own. After my degree, I completed diplomas in Innovation and Design Thinking and Digital Marketing, realising that everything I’d studied shared a common thread: evoking emotion, creating connection, and building systems to make it last.
My curiosity led me into brand building, startups, marketing, and website creation. That’s where Good Story was born, a shared dream with a friend combining creativity with strategy.
Today, I help creatives build brands that not only look beautiful but also feel meaningful, while continuing to work in our family business. As one of my mentors says, “The more you know, the more you have to design with.” I can’t wait to learn, explore, and grow our story together.
